Jordan Ferri will miss out here owing to an accumulation of bookings. La Paillade seem to have a surplus of central defenders. Pedro Mendes and Maxime Ésteve are also option for Olivier Dall'Oglio. New signings Faitout Maouassa and Falaye Sacko should both start at full-back, but Arnaud Souquet could also be in the frame at right-back. Issa Kaboré will be suspended here, being yet to purge a three-match ban from last season. After a strong spell at the club on loan last season, look for Iké Ugbo, who has signed a permanent deal, to be a part of the XI. Promising young defender Jackson Porozo is expected to a regular part of the back three.
Montpellier struggled down the back half of last season at home. Their last win at the Mosson was in January, but a rejiggered squad including the mercurial additions of Wahbi Khazri and Arnaud Nordin should be well-equipped to get a result here. Troyes, under the aegis of City Group, seem to have bought smartly this summer, but it's hard to tell if they'll have enough to expect a result in this match. 2:1
