Real Madrid were leapfrogged by arch rivals Barcelona, on goal difference, after Real fell to a 1-1 draw against Osasuna, despite the visitors going down to ten men late on. They still remain unbeaten in the league however, as they do in the Champions League, in which they have won two out of two, conceding zero goals. Shakhtar Donetsk like Real are also top and unbeaten in their domestic league and unbeaten in the Champions League. They drew their last game in Europe however, 1-1 at, home to Celtic, after coming from behind. In their last league game they emphatically won 6-1 away from to Metalist, which included a 20 minute hattrick from Danylo Sikan. Despite having home advantage, this will be no easy game for Real, but they may just have the upper hand to win this one. They met in last seasons Champions League group stage as well, with Real running out 5-0 winners away from home, but in the last meeting, which was at the Bernabeu, Donetsk only lost 2-1. 2:1
