The Rubro Negro have won eight of their last nine matches in all competitions. After a tough start that saw them hovering around the bottom four, they now sit in fifth place, nine points adrift of league leaders Palmeiras. Athletico Paranaense have had a promising week too. First, they enjoyed a 3-2 victory over champions Atletico Mineiro, which saw a brace from 17-year-old Vitor Roque. Then, in the Copa Libertadores, the wonderkid would once again make the headlines, as his stoppage-time header sent Athletico into the Libertadores semi finals as they ran out 1-0 winners over Estudiantes of Argentina. They will be hoping to put an end to Flamengo's impressive winning run here. 2:0
