The Dons' final league match last season saw them held at home by the Paisley Saints in a drab 0-0 draw. The previous league meeting between the two at Pittodrie saw them batter the Buddies by a 4-1 scoreline and a repeat of the feat is exactly what they're after this time around. St Mirren were left to rue missed opportunities as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to managerless Motherwell at home. Needless to say, Saints must turn chances into goals to increase their chances of picking up points early on in the season. The longer they leave it, failing to shut out the opposition, the trickier it becomes. The Buddies beat Aberdeen twice in Paisley last season and would love a win up north to kickstart their campaign.
