Kenny Jackett could bring ball-carrier Dan Kemp in for defender Alex Mitchell to facilitate a switch from 3-4-3 to 4-2-3-1. That will morph into a 4-2-2-2 of sorts, though, with Aaron Drinan pushing into a second striker position at times with Theo Archibald cutting inside from the left. Energetic forward Paul Smyth will be sidelined for another two weeks. Poacher Danny Johnson, energetic midfielder Ryan Stirk and willing presser Harry Charsley could be rewarded for their respective impacts from the bench against Rochdale with starts here. Stoke loanee Will Forrester will stay at his parent club to do his rehabilitation following injury, until he is ready to train with Mansfield. James Perch is out for the season, unfortunately, with a fractured skull.
