Valencia enjoyed a fine start to the season with three wins and a draw from their first four outings, but they are now in the midst of a difficult run of fixtures, and they are not passing the test. A late defeat to Real Madrid was followed by a 3-1 defeat to Sevilla last time out in which all of the goals were scored in the first half. It was all too comfortable a win for Sevilla and Jose Bordalas will be very disappointed in the way his team capitulated at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. A reaction is needed here. Athletic Club have been tough to beat this season, but they lost their first game of the season last time out when they were stunned by in form Rayo Vallecano at home, conceding a Radamel Falcao winner no less than six minutes into stoppage time. Marcelino will have been bitterly disappointed after his side's fine start to the season, and a quick response is required here, though given the painful nature of the defeat and the fact Valencia look strong this season, a draw is the most likely result here, and perhaps a goalless one. 0:0
