Kiko Femina and Joao Pedro are in contention to feature this weekend after returning to full training. The former could go straight into the starting XI, though Craig Cathcart is on standby to fill in at right-back. Peter Etebo is available after missing Watford's cup tie with parent club Stoke in midweek, but Daniel Bachmann is an injury doubt for the home side. Watford's fringe players did not do enough against Stoke to force themselves into contention this weekend after losing 3-1 at home. Martin Dubravka is back in training but Karl Darlow will keep his place in goal after a strong showing last time out. Isaac Hayden is currently being preferred at centre-back to actual defenders Federico Fernandez and Fabian Schar. With Callum Wilson still sidelined, Allan Saint-Maximin will continue leading the line for Newcastle.
