Davie Martindale was adamant that Livingston would not be relegated this season, and the Livi boss was right as his side narrowly missed out on a top-six spot. Rather than feeling sorry for themselves, the Lions looked to win as many games as they could towards the end of the campaign and will deservedly finish top of the bottom six. However, you get the impression that there's still a small band of Livi fans wondering what could've been, had it not been for the split. As for Dundee, having come up to the top tier last season via the playoffs, they'll be heading back down to the second tier automatically after finishing as the worst of the 12 teams in the Scottish Premiership. James McPake's sacking seemed a bizarre decision at the time, with Mark McGhee - who was in the midst of serving a six-game touchline ban - having won just once as Dundee boss since taking the reigns in February, proving that he wasn't an adequate replacement.
