Caretaker manager David Gray made three changes to the Hibernian team that drew against Aberdeen as the two played out a 1-1 draw at Easter Road, before Dundee kept their hopes of staying up alive thanks to a 3-1 win over Hibs. Rocky Bushiri replaced the injured Paul Hanlon, to join Paul McGinn and Ryan Porteous in the back three. Lewis Stevenson replaced Jake Doyle-Hayes to join Joe Newell in the middle of the park. James Scott replaced Elias Melkersen as the Hibees' sole striker, and the Hull City loanee scored his first goal for Hibs but it was to no avail as they lost to Championship-bound Dundee prior to Saints' win against Aberdeen. Callum Davidson made three changes to the Saints side that picked up a point against Livingston in a 1-1 draw in West Lothian, before beating Aberdeen 1-0 at McDiarmid Park to automatically relegate Dundee. James Brown replaced Callum Booth at left wing-back. Cammy MacPherson was replaced by Jacob Butterfield in the five-man Saints midfield. Glenn Middleton scored Saints' goal against Livi so he replaced Stevie May in attack. Middleton's strike partner Callum Hendry netted the winner against his former loan club. Despite being on loan at Championship winners Kilmarnock earlier this season, Hendry has scored a third of Saints' league goals this season.
