Back-to-back defeats has left Heerenveen in mid-table. Before this stretch of losses, they had gone six Eredivisie games unbeaten, winning three. As for PEC Zwolle, they ended an eight-game winless streak when they ran out 2-0 winners over Willem II, albeit they remain bottom of the championship and nine points adrift of safety.
